Gaswerks Garage is pleased to present our 1979 Porsche 911SC Coupe Finished in Aga Blue, factory paint from ’67. Our SC underwent a full nut and bolt restoration. All the gauges have been refinished, as well as every bushing & every bolt. New headliner & new carpet was added, and the rear seats and radio were deleted. Upgrades include but are not limited; to Recaro sport seats, Momo prototipo wheel, 917 shift knob, CIBIE hood lights, & French headlights. The rear bumper has been converted to Euro bumpers with the small bumperettes which in our professional opinion, is the cleaner look. Our 911 SC is equipped with Group 5 Wheels. We chose to equip the vehicle with RS Style seats with hounds-tooth interior and upgrade the AC and heater system.
The engine is not just a mechanical rebuild; it is a cosmetic restoration also! We upgraded the compressor, the original compressor was a piston style which has been upgraded to a more efficient rotary style compressor, it’s like a modern car air conditioning. Mild engine modifications were done as well, originally it came as a 3.0 litter engine, our certified technicians bumped it up to a 3.2 liter. We used mahle pistons and cylinders just like the factory did. All new engine mounts, new ignition box, new oil tank, upgraded AC condenser, new alternator, new engine harness, a 100-liter gas tank in the front with the 100-liter sending unit. All the HVAC parts have been replaced as well, all new cables, heater hoses, brake booster, master cylinder, and calipers.
It has upgraded brakes; we did not leave the stock SC brakes, instead We installed Boxster Monoblock brake system. It also has an upgraded suspension, we increased the torsion bar size front and back, we installed a bilstien suspension system in it. Every piece of the car in terms of suspension, bushings, all of it has been replaced. Mechanical front hood shocks were installed, titanium lug nuts, all new trim, new glass, new weather stripping, new wheel bars, new rear European fog lights, a stainless steel muffler, a stainless steel heater boxes. We upgraded the water cooler with a radiator type water cooler. 217 miles shown, T.M.U.
